# Calendar file — AX078 v1 (`ax078_v1`)

A dependency-free ES module using the exact browser CSV and timestamp parsers.
Node.js 18+ is sufficient. Download this README and `calendar-file.mjs` together.

Save this as `example.mjs` alongside the module, then run `node example.mjs`:

```js
import { buildCalendarFile } from './calendar-file.mjs';
import { writeFileSync } from 'node:fs';
const csv = 'title,start,end,location\nWorkshop,2026-10-13T09:00:00-04:00,2026-10-13T10:00:00-04:00,Room A';
const result = buildCalendarFile(csv, '2026-10-12T18:00:00Z', 'example-20261012');
console.log(result.text);
writeFileSync('example.ics', result.ics, 'utf8');
```

The example writes a local file explicitly; the module itself performs no writes,
network calls, calendar access, invitations or imports. Review the text, then
manually import the ICS into your chosen calendar and check every event.

Supply exact ordered headers `title,start,end,location`, 1–25 rows, at most
100,000 characters, nonblank titles and optional locations. Timestamps require seconds and
`Z` or a known explicit offset; fractional seconds are refused. End must be later
than start and at most seven days later. Supported UTC years are 0001–9999.
Stamp must be `YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ssZ`. UID prefix must contain 1–64 ASCII letters,
digits or hyphens. Choose a fresh prefix per unrelated batch: prefix plus row
number is deterministic, and repeating it can update or duplicate imported events.
Malformed input refuses the entire batch. Quoted multiline text is safely escaped;
control characters and malformed Unicode are refused. ICS uses UTC, CRLF and
UTF-8 folding within 75 octets, including continuation spaces.

Rebuild from the repository with `node scripts/build-calendar-file.mjs`; verify
source parity with `node scripts/build-calendar-file.mjs --check`.
This fictional example is QA; source retrieval, execution, useful independent
completion, repeat use and paid delivery are separate evidence.
